The Third Year's A Charm

For most of us, 3 years is considered a long time especially in a relationship.
So many things you could have accomplished in 3 years... like Junior College with an extra year to spare or received a Diploma. 3 years is long enough to finally find your footing in a work place and likewise for any relationship, 3 years later, you'll really get to know the person you've been dating (not casually of course).
These past 3 years has allowed me to complete my diploma, and so did my bf and we went through his army together and now we're both in uni.
Uni by far has been the toughest shit to endure. It is not uncommon for relationships to fall apart during army days, personally, getting through that period wasn't even difficult at all. For us, it was the absence during the long route marches or the multiple filed camps. But the good news is that they get easier with each trip. Spending time apart was also kinda refreshing and rejuvenating to the the relationship.
However, being in different unis have set very different paths for each of us. To make matters worse, I stay in hall. Which makes me travel around Singapore in a triangle, from East to West to North. Plus bf's school is only 2 years for a degree and he has school even during my summer break T_T
Over the past year of uni, we've met new friends, learned new things and still are in different fields of study and work but I seem to notice it much more now.Perhaps the pressure of adulthood and a successful career have now become more imminent.
But, I'm still really lucky to have found this patient human who puts up with all the travelling and taking trips to school to eat dinner with me then go home! It's the really little things like this that matter the most. Not the gifts, not the flowers, not the expensive meals.
Though, to be honest I sometimes feel quite envious of couples with the convenience of a car and those who've been jetting off together to bkk or bali. I've still not been to bkk. -.-
As we're both students it also stretches the pocket a bit to constantly go out to eat. So we end up at each other's homes finding weird things to do like baking macarons or just watching Survivor together LOL, even training our dogs hahahahahaha
Guess what I really am trying to say is that the past 3 years were just gearing us up for what's to come! I hope we can pull thru the hard part in the coming years and settle down later on.
Right now, I can't really smell super well or taste due to the cold I caught last week.. we went to the food court on the top floor of 313 to eat my favourite beef noodles!
By the way.. it was sorta where we ate the first time we went out on an unofficial date. HAHA. So retarded. I remember complaining about the Bak Kut Teh being expensive and lousy. It's not there anymore!
Hope my nose clears soon so we can have a good meal!

Couldn't even smell the curry BOO.
Was super dead tired by now so we sat at the churros place at Orchard Central. The food was very meh.
