This post is way overdue since I had my retreat 2 weeks back. My mum won some lucky draw thingum and my sis and I went to stay at Mandarin Oriental. I only got there at night and my sis wasn't in the room!! Kinda scary.. But I survived. Hahaha. This is the view from our room.. Not bad la
Complementary breakfast buffet at MELT
Yummy cute yoghurt thing.
Eh lol my eyes v retarded here.. I'm in the toilet trying to get some 3G going on..
I guess this weekend retreat was quite an eye opener and let me realise how shitty the hotels I have been lodging in are. I must say that being a tourist in Singapore so much more exciting! No wonder people wna come and play here..
The service at MO is very good even tho half the staff aren't local. My sis and I got checked in by this super chio Russian lady (even tho we checked in at different times). She also rmbed that she checked my sister in! And all I could do was gaze into her eyes while she was typing stuff on the computer. Hahaha I'm quite prevy I know. The hotel staff were very conscientious and always referred to my sis and I as Ms Ong.
The bed was sooo comfy and high. You could be standing and you just shift your ass onto the bed can alr. The comfort of my bed totally pales in comparison but then again when I came back from Taiwan I though my bed was the most comfortable thing ever!
But my lousy bed is to blame for me being up at this ungodly hour even tho I'm so sleepy and tired from my swim training.
It's gna be a long week.. Tmr I have to run and saturday I have to run and swim(maybe). I don't think I can endure swimming training after a run in all honesty.
I have been in triathlon for about 2 months already. I'm making some progress.. It's nothing much to boast about. I guess picking up such an intense sport at this age is pretty daunting and requires loads of hard work and commitment.
I hope that with time I will make better progress. I have never been so humbled by anything. Even during my competitive skating days.. I didn't have to work so hard. Maybe if I had done so I'd be a much better skater.
