Thanksgiving

I'm not American but thanksgiving is about 4 days away..I would like to give thanks to some of my friends. Many have come and gone but to the few that have stuck by me all these while I want you to know that you're appreciated.
When I die, even if it's tomorrow, I would die a happy person knowing people that have completely no blood ties with me could be so kind hearted as to spare me a listening ear even on a school night at wee hours or extending an invitation to their house for shelter.
I wonder what goes through their mind when they make such decisions to sacrifice their time, money and effort. It's not like I'm some heiress or royal blood. Befriending me would really be like befriending another Tom, Dick or Harry.
Recently, things haven't been very smooth. It's one of those times that you have to just suck it up and move on. I'm sure most people are not so blessed to live unhindered lives. I'm just glad that some of these people are my friends and understand my plight even though they don't really have to give a damn!
So A BIG THANK YOU!
